My research focuses on cellulose nanofibril -based hydrogels (CNFs) as biomaterial for tissue engineering. The aim is to develop and characterize CNFs to optimize their performance in 3D cell culture, and to understand the underlying cell-material interactions.
Main objectives:
- To develop 3D printable natural and anionic cellulose nanofibrils (CNF)
- To assess cell behavior in the hydrogels by measuring directly the cell–hydrogel interactions
- To improve the CNF hydrogels therapeutic properties for wound healing with additives
